I’ve sent a couple of dermatologists, who are from Austria, from to Haneda Airport to a hotel.
They said they would attend a conference in Tokyo.
Hapiharu: ‘Thank you for your taking our taxi service!! ‘I’m Hapiharu of Hapiharu Taxi!. And, thank you for your fastnening your seatbelts! I’ll drive safely!’
H: ‘Are you tourists?’
Customers: ‘Yes!’
H: ‘Welcome to Japan!!’
C: ‘Thank you!’
H: ‘Where are you from?’
C: ‘Austria.’
H: ‘Oh, Austria! Big welcome! Thank you for coming to Japan! So, have you already decided your itinerary?’
C: Iti…what?
H: ‘Oh, I mean, have you already decided where to go or what to do?
C: ‘Oh, yes, we’re going to attend a medical conference.’
H: ‘Oh, so are you on business?’
C: ‘No, we will just go there for education.’
H: ‘Oh, I see. Umm, what kind of doctors are you?
C: ‘We are doctors of skin.’
H: ‘Oh! I have just had a small problem on my neck. It’s sometimes itchy, you know.’
C: ‘Oh, I see.’
H: ‘I’ve tried lots of things to treat it. And, it sometimes worked, but it sometimes didn’t work… I’ve tried several medications. Of course, I’ve seen a doctor last year of two years ago, and he gave me a cream. It sometimes worked, but sometimes didn’t.
So, when it didn’t work, then I tried another cream. And I sometimes got over but not always.
So, do you think mixture of creams are OK, or does it depend?
( This “mixture of creams” meant not literally “mixture” but “putting another cream after one cream. But the female customer seemed to have understood my intention. )
Woman: ‘Yes, it’s OK. but it depends.’ （「違う種類のクリームを同時に使うこと自体は問題がありませんが、時と場合によります。」⇨つまり、「必ずしもダメではないけど、ダメなときもあるよ。」というわけですね。
H: ‘Every year in this season, my skin around here become itchy. Do you have some good resolution for it?’
C: ‘Well, I can’t say anything, because I don’t know how you got the problem… But it’s good you go skin care.’
H: ‘Go skin care… you mean, I should see a doctor?’
C: ‘No. I mean, you can go skin care.’
H: ‘Well, OK… you mean, I should do some skin care, right?’
C: ‘Yes.’
H: OK, thank you.’
